About Sol Caleyo

Sol Caleyo is a handcrafted footwear brand specializing in leather boots, clogs and sandals made entirely by hand in Gijón, Asturias.

Behind the brand is María Inés, an Argentinian born artisan shoemaker and designer who studied footwear construction, leather craftsmanship, and wooden sole development in Argentina before moving to Spain.

Every pair is designed, cut, stitched, assembled, and finished personally by her, using traditional craft methods passed down for generations.

A Global Slow Fashion Brand With a Personal Story

Born in Argentina and trained in classic shoe making techniques, María Inés relocated to Gijón, her grandfather’s homeland, more than 10 years ago.
From his workshop in northern Spain, she creates footwear for customers worldwide.
