The American Clogs by Sol Caleyo are handmade American flag leather patchwork platform mule clogs with a 13 cm oak lacquered wooden heel and old-gold studs, made to order in Spain in EU sizes 33-47 and beyond, ready in 20-30 days and shipped worldwide.
Meet the American Clogs: closed-toe, open-back mule clogs shaped entirely by hand. The flag upper is made piece by piece from stitched leather in red, white and blue, with the stars of the original flag, and finished with old-gold studs placed by hand. Cut and assembled by hand in our workshop in Spain.
Built by hand, from the ground up
- Wooden heel and platform: a 13 cm heel, including a 6 cm platform, in oak-colored wood, hand-carved and finished with lacquer.
- Outer sole: a double black tractor-style rubber sole for grip and durability.
- Upper: American flag patchwork in red, white and blue leather pieces stitched by hand, with stars. Closed toe, open back.
- Stud detail: old-gold studs, placed by hand.
- Inside: a padded insole lined with tobacco-colored suede goat leather.

How long does it take to receive my American Clogs?
Every pair is handmade to order and takes 20-30 days to complete in our workshop in Spain. We then ship worldwide.
Will they arrive in time for July 4th?
Because every pair is made to order in 20-30 days, we recommend ordering at least 8 weeks before your date, including shipping. Contact us if you have a deadline.
How is the flag made?
The flag is built from pieces of red, white and blue leather, cut and stitched by hand, including the stars of the original flag.
Do you make sizes outside EU 33-47?
Yes. We make EU sizes 33-47 and also custom sizes and adjustments to your measurements. Contact us before ordering and we’ll make them for you.
How do I care for the leather and the wooden sole?
Clean the leather with a damp cloth and nourish it with leather cream. The wooden sole is protected with lacquer, so it needs no special care.
Do these clogs have a back strap?
No. They are mule clogs with an open back and a closed toe.
